The Team

We are currently seeking a Traffic/ITS Design Engineer to join the Transportation-Infrastructure practice.


From managed toll lanes and long-range corridor plans to complex interchanges, major roadway, and segmental bridge designs, our teams provide the highest quality planning, environmental and engineering design solutions to our clients.  Each day, we partner with transportation agencies and local governments across the country to keep our communities moving and improving the overall quality of life.   By joining our team, you too can lead the evolution of transportation.

The Opportunity

The Traffic/ITS Design Engineer position will include working in the following elements of traffic engineering:  signing & pavement marking plans, signalization plans, lighting plans, and ITS plans. In addition, the position may include conducting capacity analysis, traffic simulation modeling, and crash/safety studies.


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering or other professionally recognized equivalent discipline from an accredited university
  • Professional registration (PE) within the field of engineering
  • 4-8 years of experience with ITS/traffic design
  • Experience with signing and pavement markings, signalization, and ITS are required
  • Ability to work independently with general supervision
  • Excellent quantitative and oral/written communications are required
  • Ability to participate in business development, marketing, and client coordination

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Managed lane experience (signing, tolling, concept of operations, etc.)
  • Knowledge of the National ITS Architecture
  • ITS communication design
  • IMSA Signal Level I or II and Fiber Level I or II
