The Team

We are currently seeking an Communications Team Leader for our Communications, Marketing & Strategy Team! 

 

Our Communications, Marketing & Strategy team is a diverse group of communicators and creatives charged with advancing RS&H’s brand, strategic marketing initiatives, and communications while tackling the exciting challenges of our growing company. We work collaboratively with our client-focused teams to grow RS&H's profile within the A/E/C industry, as well as the communities we serve.

The Opportunity

As Communications Team Leader, you’ll oversee and manage a team of five to ten professionals in executing internal and external communications activities that build our brand, engage our clients and associates, and advance the firm’s strategic initiatives. (Reports to the Vice President/Director of Communications, Marketing & Strategy.)

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, public relations or related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience within the field of communications (A/E/C preferred).
  • Proven experience in managing a team of five or more, including virtually.
  • Previous management experience required.
  • Proven experience in leading large-scale communications campaigns.
  • Exceptional critical thinking, problem solving, and business acumen.
  • Keen writing, editing, and grammar skills.
  • Experience with marketing automation a plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products – primarily Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day management of the communications team, which includes PR, social media, digital/content marketing, branding, corporate communications, and events.
  • Set team goals, manage schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor performance metrics.
  • Motivate and develop staff through team building, coaching, and performance management.
  • Create an inspiring team environment that encourages open communication, collaboration, creativity, new ideas, and risk-taking.

 

Technical Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development of internal and external communications strategies that support the firm’s business objectives.
  • Develop and execute effective sales-enablement strategies that connect marketing and communication initiatives to the generation of qualified leads and insights.
  • Oversee communication efforts that foster a positive culture and ensure associates have access to information that supports clear understanding of the firm’s strategic direction.
  • Provide expert communication and PR counsel to senior management and other internal clients to identify needs and approaches, including topics related to sensitive matters.
  • Oversee coordination of multiple delivery channels, including social media, the website, intranet, etc., to support communication for internal and external audiences.
