The Team

We are currently seeking an Entry Level Planner for our Aviation Practice.

 

Joining our Aviation team means an opportunity to explore your potential and apply your diverse skills to serve the large and small airports of the aviation industry as a trusted advisor.  You can do this in a collaborative and team-oriented environment among other driven professionals. Service areas include airfields, buildings, facility planning, environmental planning, and environmental stewardship & resiliency.  Join RS&H to define and master challenges, advance professionally, and build strong and lasting relationships.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an entry-level Aviation Planning candidate to serve as part of our Planning Service Group which provides support and consulting expertise to aviation clients on a national and international level.  You will be responsible for assisting aviation planning staff on master plans, terminal and site plans, ALP development, support on environmental assessments and other aviation-specific technical assignments.  In this role you will work under direct supervision of others.

 

Qualifications:

  • Requires an Accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in planning, aviation, engineering or related field
  • No previous related work experience required; however, practical experience gained from previous internship or part-time position experience is preferred
  • Strong verbal, writing, and presentation communication skills needed.   Ability to interact with employees, other consultants, clients and others with respect and professionalism.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), AutoCAD, and GIS software essential for use in completing assignments, documentation and exhibits
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, team environment responsive to deadlines
  • General understanding of an airport/airfield environment, preferred not required
  • Graphic layout capability (Photoshop and/or Illustrator), preferred not required
  • General knowledge and application of aviation skills including understanding of FAA guidelines and requirements for airport planning and geometry, preferred not required
