The Team

We are currently seeking a Civil Engineering Intern for our Transportation-Infrastructure Practice.   

 

From managed toll lanes and long-range corridor plans to complex interchanges, major roadway, and segmental bridge designs, our teams provide the highest quality planning, environmental and engineering design solutions to our clients.  Each day, we partner with transportation agencies and local governments across the country to keep our communities moving and improving the overall quality of life.   By joining our team, you too can lead the evolution of transportation.

The Opportunity

This position primarily involves assisting in the development of FDOT Project Development and Environment (PD&E) studies, which is Florida’s process for evaluating transportation project impacts and complying with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).  The position involves compiling environmental, socio-cultural, and various technical engineering studies and reports.  Project development includes preliminary engineering analysis and design, cost estimating, exhibit production, permitting, and public involvement.  Good writing and communication skills are a prerequisite for this position.  Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work on a team on varied and fast-paced projects are also a must.   Additional responsibilities include assisting with the preparation of final design plans, planning studies, and proposal preparation. 

 

Qualifications:

  • Current student studying Civil Engineering at an ABET accredited university
  • 3.0 GPA or above
  • Willingness to work with a team to meet project deadlines
  • Exposure to AutoCAD or Microstation is a plus
  • Previous internship experience is a plus
