The Team

We are currently seeking an Entry Level Traffic/ITS Design Engineer for the Transportation-Infrastructure Practice. 

 

From managed toll lanes and long-range corridor plans to complex interchanges, major roadway, and segmental bridge designs, our teams provide the highest quality planning, environmental and engineering design solutions to our clients.  Each day, we partner with transportation agencies and local governments across the country to keep our communities moving and improving the overall quality of life.   By joining our team, you too can lead the evolution of transportation.

The Opportunity

The Entry Level Traffic/ITS Design Engineer position will include working in the following elements of traffic/ITS design: Signing & Pavement Marking Analysis & Design, Signalization Analysis & Design, Lighting Analysis & Design, and Intelligent Transportation System Analysis and Design.

 

Qualifications:

  • Accredited Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with transportation emphasis
  • Ability to work independently with general supervision
  • Engineering Intern Certification in Florida or ability to gain it within 6-months of hire
  • Identify and resolve design issues effectively and efficiently
  • Able to work under and meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to interact, collaborate and communicate (verbally and written) with design and construction teams in a positive and proactive manner
  • Self-starter and willingness to take initiative

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with transportation emphasis OR Electrical engineering with interest in field devices and communication
  • 0-1yr professional work experience in traffic/ITS design
  • Knowledge of traffic design and operations analysis, and plan production
  • Knowledge of MUTCD, FDOT requirements, Microstation SS4, MS Office
