As a Field Representative, you will monitor the contractor’s on-site construction activities and inspect materials and fabrication details to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and special provisions of the construction contract.  In addition, you will support the engineering design team with on-site inspections to help develop as-built documentation, and serve as a liaison for communications between the design team and the on-site client representatives.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Maintain detailed records of the contractor’s daily operations and events that affect the work.
  • Prepare and check engineering computations
  • Inspect the construction work and conduct field tests
  • Support constructability reviews of contract documents
  • Cost Estimating support of design projects

  • I don’t think we should put a line item in here for project management (yet).  That is something that one would grow into.
  • Schedule reviews and inputs
