We are currently seeking a Civil Traffic Engineering Intern for our Transportation-Infrastructure Practice.
The Civil Traffic Engineering Associate will be involved in assisting clients with providing viable solutions to mobility, traffic congestion and safety while addressing NCDOT and FHWA processes and guidelines. The position would be involved in traffic engineering evaluations and analysis, including traffic operations analysis, capacity analysis, Interchange access analysis and operations of managed lanes. Other responsibilities would include traffic simulation modeling with TransModeler and/or VISSIM, crash/safety studies, production of documentation and reports, and supporting the Traffic Engineering team’s development into connected vehicles and ITS. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently with general supervision as well as within a collaborative team environment. He or she will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and have strong work ethic with the company’s mission and core values.
