  • The Opportunity

    We are currently seeking an Interior Designer to join our Healthcare Market group within the Corporate Practice in Jacksonville, FL. 


    The Interior Designer will function as a professional interior design discipline lead on healthcare related projects and may serve as a Project Manager on small to moderate scope multidiscipline projects.



    • Plans, programs, schedules, and coordinates detailed phases of the work as part of a major project or in a total project with a moderate scope.
    • Confirms that preliminary space plans and design concepts are safe, functional, aesthetically appropriate, and meet all public health, safety, and welfare requirements, including code, accessibility, environmental, and sustainability guidelines.
    • Has a working knowledge of the FGI (Facility Guideline Institute).
    • Independently evaluates, selects, and adapts standard techniques, procedures, and criteria for healthcare environments.
    • Acquires general knowledge of principles and practices of related fields with the ability to function on multidiscipline teams.
    • Participates in business development with existing Healthcare clients and new ones if appropriate.


    • Able to work with clients to develop programs and space needs for test fits and space plans.
    • Prepares construction documents consisting of plans, elevations, details and specifications to illustrate non-structural layouts; coordination of power and communications locations; reflected ceiling plans and lighting designs; materials and finishes; and furniture layouts and specifications.
    • Selects and determines procedures in interior design matters and writes reports and specifications.
    • Exhibits a strong knowledge of principles and practices or related specialties not only within the discipline of interior design, but for other related disciplines functioning within the project scope.
    • Working knowledge of Revit is required to perform drawing and document preparation duties.


    • Leads multidiscipline design teams with the ability to make cost-effective decisions related to project scope and schedule.
    • Delegates and supervises tasks completed by junior-level staff.
    • Typical duties and responsibilities may include:
      • Serving as Project Manager with delegated limited authority to negotiate or consult directly with clients.
      • Serving as Project Designer on projects of some complexity.
      • Assisting with proposals to provide professional services or obtain funding projects.


    • Possesses highly effective oral, presentation, and written communication skills.
    • Interacts with clients, customers, officials, contractors, and others.
    • Attends project meetings and presents specific aspects of interior design.
    • Serves as a trusted company ambassador with the ability to become a trusted advisor to clients while operating in compliance with the company’s adopted “Statement of Business Ethics and Code of Conduct Policy.”


    • Requires an accredited Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design and must have a current license for interior design.
    • Minimum of 8+ years of prior work experience within the field with a focus on healthcare interiors.
    • Working knowledge of Revit required.
