  • The Opportunity

    We are currently seeking a Senior Bridge Engineer for our Atlanta Office.


    The Senior Bridge Engineer candidate will be responsible for the structural aspects of highway and/or railroad bridge engineering projects.  The candidate will perform structural analysis and oversee completion of structural design calculations and drawings; mentor and train junior structures staff; organize and monitor labor budgets for assigned projects; coordinate with discipline key task leaders, project manager, and staff to ensure ongoing communications; perform quality control on structures deliverables; and meet project deliverable dates and budget for assigned projects. The candidate will be responsible for developing and building upon working relationships with clients and other engineering consultants while actively participating on technical committees of at the local, state, and national level through relevant professional organizations.



    • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering from ABET accredited university with an emphasis on structural design
    • 8+ years of bridge, LRFD structural, and GDOT design experience
    • Georgia professional engineering (PE) registration
    • Good working knowledge of MicroStation, Excel, MathCad, and Structural Design Software, (examples include STAAD, MDX, LPILE, CONSPAN, RISA, RM Bridge, Larsa)
    • Experience working on Traditional Bid-Build, Public Private Partnerships (PPP), and General Engineering Consultant type projects.
    • Experience in design/build delivery method or contractor/construction engineering experience is preferred
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Experience managing and mentoring engineering staff
    • Experience with FEM Analysis preferred
    • Steel bridge design experience preferred
    • Experience with business development preferred
    • Post-tensioned concrete design experience a plus
