  • The Opportunity

    We are seeking a CPM Schedule and Claims Review Project Manager for our Transportation-Construction Management (T-CM) practice in Texas.  This position could be in the Dallas, Austin, Houston, or San Angelo area.

     

    This role will work primarily to support our Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) contracts on a statewide basis, regularly supporting construction project engineers or individually managing reviews of contractor schedules for major highway construction projects using the critical path method technique. This construction professional will also support change order and claims analyses for projects statewide and may assist with similar duties across the nation on a remote basis. Must be knowledgeable and experienced in the critical path method techniques used in highway construction using Primavera or equivalent. Typical job duties for this role include:

    • Scheduling and tracking a project’s progress.
    • Identifying the schedule activities that control the overall construction time or the critical path.
    • Identifying and measuring the impact any change has on a project schedule.
    • Providing recommendations to resolve the time, scope, and cost aspects of project changes or delays.
    • Creates, prepare, and analyze prospective (forecasting) and retrospective (forensic) cost and scheduled reports.
    • Prepares and participates regularly in scheduled meetings to help advance each project.
    • Prepare preliminary time determination schedules.

    Qualifications:

    • Degree in Engineering, Cost Management, Project Management, Accounting, Finance or another relevant field.
    • 8+ years relevant experience.
    • Proficient in the use of industry-standard scheduling software including Oracle Primavera P6 and knowledgeable and experienced with Claim Digger, Schedule Analyzer, or Acumen Fuse.
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office products – primarily Word and Excel.
    • Valid TX Driver’s License.
    • Clear Driving Record.
    • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% for meetings with clients and RS&H associates.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Texas Professional Engineer or ability to obtain through reciprocity in 90 days.
    • Five Years’ Experience in Responsible charge as a Project Engineer on roadway construction projects, AND three years of bridges and multi-level interchange construction experience.
    • Previous experience with Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) preferred.
    • One or a combination of the following TxDOT Precertifications are a plus:
      • 5.1 Construction Scheduling PM
      • 6.1 Construction Schedule Support - General
      • 7.1 Construction Schedule Support - Relating to Scheduling of Roadway Design
      • 8.1 Construction Schedule Support - Relating to Construction Management of Projects Including Bridges or Multi-Level Interchanges
