  • The Opportunity

    We are currently seeking an Program Manager/Construction Administrator for our Corporate Practice. 

     

    The Program Manager/Construction Administrator is an entry-level position that focuses on routine program management and construction administration assignments, compiles field data, performs construction document coordination, completes field observation reports, assists with evaluation of RFIs, submittals and change order requests, and observes ongoing and completed construction projects.  Candidate will be asked to assist with construction administration duties on projects designed by RS&H as well as program management duties or “owner’s representative” services on projects that may involve outside design teams.  Position requires an ability to assist simultaneously on multiple projects, as well as collaborate with and learn from multi-discipline professional design and construction teams, staff and clients.  Candidate must possess the drive to develop skills and business acumen to represent the firm using sound judgment in planning, organizing, and accountability. Additional skill sets to develop include gaining familiarity with project scheduling, fiscal budgeting, real estate due diligence, design coordination and value engineering.

     

    Requirements:

    • Requires an accredited Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or other professionally recognized equivalent discipline.
    • 0+ years prior work experience.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power-Point) required for use in completing assignments.
    • Strong written/verbal communication and teambuilding skills.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Practical experience gained from previous intern or part-time positions.
    • Working knowledge of CADD in order to perform construction document coordination duties.
    • Willingness to pursue contractor’s license or PMP certification.
    • Working knowledge of scheduling software such as Primavera and Microsoft Project.
    • Familiarity with cost estimating references and techniques.
