  • The Opportunity

    We are currently seeking a Water Resources Engineer for the Transportation-Infrastructure Practice in Orlando, Florida


    This position would be responsible for stormwater management, drainage design, hydrologic, hydraulic and water quality modeling, and environmental permitting in accordance with FDOT, water management district and local municipality standards, criteria and accepted practices. This position would also include project task management responsibilities and supervisory responsibilities for junior engineers.



    • Bachelor or Master of Science in Civil Engineering degree from an ABET-accredited university
    • Professional Engineer (PE) registration in the field of civil engineering
    • 8-15 years’ experience in the field of civil engineering specializing in water resources design specific to municipal stormwater improvements and/or heavy highway projects in Florida
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Experience managing water resources-related project tasks
    • Experience supervising junior engineers
    • Significant experience with watershed delineation and determination of hydrological parameters
    • Significant experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using ICPR
    • Significant experience using Geopak Drainage and/or ASAD
    • Significant experience with plans production using Microstation, Geopak, and FDOT software
    • Experience with riverine and/or coastal modeling using HEC-RAS
    • Experience preparing environmental permit application packages, and obtaining environmental permits from Federal, state, and/or local regulatory agencies
    • Significant expertise using Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)


    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with Microstation 3-D Corridor Modeling
    • Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using SWMM
    • Experience with 2-dimensional bridge hydraulics modeling and scour analysis
    • Experience using ArcGIS for water resources projects
    • Experience with floodplain studies and FEMA LOMC
    • Experience designing potable water, reclaimed water, and/or sanitary sewer systems
    • Experience making presentations to clients
    • Experience with design-build and/or other alternative delivery projects
