RS&H is currently seeking a Travel Demand Modeler for our national Transportation Planning Consulting Practice in our Miami, FL office!

We are currently seeking an entry level Travel Demand Modeler to support our national Transportation Planning Consulting Practice based out of our Miami, FL office and work with our dynamic team on a vast list of multimodal projects. 

Job Summary: The entry level Travel Demand Modeler will work in a flexible, team-oriented environment and must have excellent communication, strong data and analytical skills, and documentation skills. He or she will participate in the collection and analysis of data, travel demand model development and application, technical analysis of transportation planning projects of varying size and scope, development of recommendations, and report and presentation development.  The person will provide support to our clients on the state, regional, and local levels.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in civil engineering, city and regional planning, or related field from an accrediated program or equivalent combination of education and experience 
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Master’s Degree in civil engineering, city and regional planning, or related field from an accrediated program or equivalent combination of education and experience 
• PE and/or AICP Certification or on track to attain
• Minimum one year experience performing Travel Demand Modeling activities is preferred
• Proficiency with econometric modeling
• Proficiency with Travel Demand Modeling Packages such as CUBE, TransCAD or VISUM
• Proficiency with Scripting and Programming with Python or Java is a plus
• Proficiency with Statistical Analysis tools such as R is a plus
• Proficiency with ArcGIS is a plus
• Strong analytical and writing skills
• Business acumen and facilitation skills working with a broad set of teams and clients
