RS&H is currently seeking an Intelligent Transportation System Electrical Engineer for our Transportation practice in our Orlando, Jacksonville, or Tampa, FL office!

The ITS Electrical Engineer position will include working for the Infrastructure Services group in the following elements of Traffic/ITS engineering: 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering or other professionally recognized equivalent discipline from an accredited university
• Professional registration (PE) within the field of electrical engineering in Florida or ability to obtain the PE in Florida within 6-months of hire
• Minimum 6 years of experience with electrical design on transportation infrastructure projects (illumination, signalization, tolling, intelligent transportation systems)
• Familiarity with communication network topology design
• Experience with performing circuit design, voltage drop calculations, and sizing of electrical services
• Experience in Freeway or Arterial Management System designs
• Experience in working as part of a multi-disciplinary design team
• Ability to work independently with general supervision

Preferred Qualifications:

• Managed/Express lane experience (field devices, tolling, concept of operations, etc.)
• Trouble shooting communication equipment
• Experience with Florida Department of Transportation design criteria and specifications
• Ability to lead/manage production staff in electrical design
• Ability to participate in business development, marketing, and client coordination
