In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the expansion of RS&H's Jacksonville footprint and be a part of our voice in the market.  Our successful candidate will be responsible for strengthening our architectural team design and operations, leading and mentoring young associates, developing relationships with current and new clients in the region, have the opportunity to work with other talented, entrepreneurial minded people, share a collaborative environment and work with a diverse client list.  If you have a history of long-term working relationships within the Corporate, Healthcare, or Science and Tech market, then your skills are in alignment with our position.

 

Essential Functions: 

  • Serve as an Architect while leading a multi-discipline project team of architects, interior designers, and building engineers for successful project delivery.
  • May provide technical guidance and assign tasks to junior and support staff for project duration. May also manage discipline and small multidisciplinary teams and ensure adherence to company and project contractual requirements.
  • Engage with clients and strengthen our presence within the region as a service provider that focuses cost effective and creative design solutions.
  • Utilize and encourage the best uses of design technologies for presentation and production purposes while championing BIM technologies.
  • This position performs all conventional aspects of architectural design and development, including the planning and conducting of architectural work requiring more advanced techniques. This position independently performs a variety of assignments requiring skills in all conventional aspects of architectural designs for projects of moderate size and complexity
  • Performs analyses of design, planning, occupancy, and impact studies, cost analyses, design requirements, site selection, and limited design layouts
  • Designs and conducts experiments, as well as analyzes and interprets data
  • Prepares project specifications, compiles, and analyzes relevant data, and prepares complete project documents, analysis, and reports.
  • Prepares and presents drawings, visual aids, and presentations
  • Performs quality control reviews and ensures achievement of key milestones. Performs field reviews, inspections, and observations of ongoing construction projects to ensure projects adhere to architectural plans.
  • Formulates and solves problems with timely and innovative solutions
  • Work closely with other Project Managers with respect to budget and workload projections.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s of Architecture degree from an accredited university
  • Minimum 5+ years of design experience
  • Professional Registration required
  • Strong marketing, sales, production and team building skills
  • Strong leadership, organizational, communication and relationship management skills
  • Proficiency with AutoCad, Revit, Sketch Up and Photoshop
