The Opportunity

RS&H is currently seeking an experienced Sr. Aviation CAD Designer to join our Aviation Group in Dallas, TX or Austin, TX!

You will have a crucial role in preparing civil drawings, coordinating construction document production, maintaining high-quality CAD standards, implementing best practices, and ensuring effective utilization of CAD software and resources.

 

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and implement CAD standards, procedures, and guidelines to ensure consistent and accurate drawings and designs.

· Stay updated with the latest CAD technologies, tools, and industry trends, and recommend improvements to enhance productivity and efficiency.

· Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations in CAD operations and deliverables.

· Creation of new CAD content to meet enterprise standards including development of integrated production standards and details to increase efficiency in construction document production. · Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other designers to determine CAD requirements and deliverables for various projects.

· Mentor and train entry-level engineers, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their drafting, design and engineering duties effectively.

· Conduct regular quality checks on CAD drawings and designs to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to project specifications.

· Implement and maintain document control processes to track revisions, version control, and file management.

Requirements:

· 7+ years of experience in CAD operations, preferably within the aviation civil engineering industry.

· Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D softwares. · Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.

· Attention to detail, with a focus on maintaining high-quality CAD standards.

· Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions.

· Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments and tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions and work assignments.

· Must be able to thrive within a team environment working with a wide variety of aviation professionals on fast-paced projects with accelerated deadlines.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Strong problem solving and analytical skills.

· Demonstrated leadership skills.

· Familiarity of GIS and BIM for integration of planning and buildings work.

· Must have a Valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
