The Opportunity

RS&H is currently seeking an experienced Water Resources Engineering Associate II to join our growing Pacific NW Water Resources team. This position will have the ability to work a hybrid schedule of in-office and remote.

 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Assist with the design of stormwater management facilities, water quality treatment, flow control facilities, roadway collection and conveyance systems, bridge/culvert crossings, and other drainage infrastructure
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations and modeling analysis.
  • Assist with the preparation of design and permitting documents for water resources project components, including design documentation reports, calculations, cost estimates, construction plans, and permit applications
  • Perform as-needed field investigations and observations of ongoing construction projects

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited program
  • Minimum three years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances.
  • Proficiency in production software and construction document production.
  • Have a passion for engineering and a willingness to grow and learn.
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills and have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as an Engineering in Training (EIT)
  • Experience with Microstation/OpenRoads Designer, AutoCAD Civil 3D,
  • Experience with H&H modeling tools including SWMM, WWHM, HEC-RAS, HY-8 or similar.
  • Experience with stormwater management design, and scour analysis and design.
  • Experience or exposure to ODOT plans preparation and design standards.
  • Experience with stormwater management design and analysis and knowledge of hydrologic and hydraulic engineering principles.
