The Opportunity

We are seeking a Project Administrator for our Transportation-Construction Management practice in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.

 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Direct and assign specific tasks to inspectors and assist in all phases of routine to moderately complex construction projects
  • Responsible for the documentation of construction quantities and payments for interim progress and final completion, and manages the consultant contract, including responsibility for accounts receivable, subconsultant management, and client management interface
  • Serve as task manager for phases of individual revenue-producing projects; construction administration support on assigned projects; or as a project field staff and construction administration team leader on projects
  • Serve as a lead to other inspection staff, administrative staff and subconsultants
  • Ensure that detailed accurate records of the quantities of work being performed are being collected and maintained
  • Ensure that materials being incorporated into the project are being sampled and tested in accordance with the requirements of the contract documents.
  • Coordinate and serve as liaison with utility companies, jurisdictions having authority, client representatives and others to facilitate resolution of any impediments to the project construction schedule
  • Perform all other duties as assigned and within scope of practice

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years relevant experience
  • FDOT Advanced MOT
  • CTQP Final Estimates Level II
  • CTQP Quality Control Manager
  • Prior experience in project administration and experience in construction of major road or bridge structures is required
  • Must possess strong oral and written communications skills
  • Must have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, and other key stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CTQP Qualifications as noted below
    • Earthwork Level 1 or 2
    • Asphalt Paving Level 1 or 2
    • MOT (intermediate or advanced)
