The Opportunity

RS&H is currently seeking a motivated, talented, planning professional to join our team. Projects will be diverse, and may include vision plans, district plans, area development plans, master plans, neighborhood plans, strategic facilities plans, facility utilization studies, capital investment strategies, project development and validation, and other products for federal agencies and other clients.  You'll serve an integral role in the firm by preparing complete project documents, planning analyses, and/or reports; serving as a project manager on small to medium master planning projects, and/or task leader on larger more complex assignments; developing client presentation materials, leading client meetings, and leading the delivery of client presentations; and identifying, tracking, and leading small project pursuits and preparing discrete portions of proposals. This position will have annual sales goals, client management responsibilities, and participate in industry events and speaking engagements and may also manage a small team of direct reports.

 

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field and seven years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • Experience creating plan graphics and visualizations.
  • Experience performing master planning tasks and working on multiple project teams.
  • Familiarity with Department of Defense land use, planning, and programming standards and processes.
  • Group facilitation skills useful in a charrette or workshop context.
  • The ability to formulate and solve problems with timely and innovative solutions.
  • Experience working on parts of major projects or multiple moderate-size projects and providing technical guidance to junior-level staff, including reviewing others' work for technical accuracy.
  • Willingness to travel (approximately 12 times per year).
  • Strong oral and written communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders.
  • US Citizenship per client requirement.

Preferred certification:

  • AICP Certification
  • LEED Accreditation

The salary for this position in Colorado ranges from $95,000 to $150,000 annually.  However, the selected individual’s compensation will be determined based on the candidate's education, qualifications, experience, and work location.
