Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated IT Cloud Specialist to join our team and lead our expansion into the cloud environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud computing, with a strong understanding of cloud architecture, services, and security. This role involves designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions to ensure efficient, scalable, and secure operations. This person will be able to work remotely and/or from one of our RS&H offices nationwide.
Key Responsibilities
- Cloud Architecture and Design
- Document and develop in-depth knowledge of company’s existing IT cloud architecture/infrastructure, and technology portfolio
- Design and implement scalable, reliable, and secure cloud architectures, with an emphasis and deep understanding of Microsoft Azure and the Microsoft Data Fabric ecosystem.
- Evaluate and select appropriate cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) based on project and business requirements.
- Develop strategies for cloud adoption, including migration planning and execution.
- Develop, document, communicate, and enforce a cloud technology standards policy.
- Cloud Management and Maintenance
- Manage and monitor cloud environments to ensure optimal performance, availability, and security.
- Perform regular system maintenance, updates, and patches.
- Develop, document, make recommendations, and communicate plans for investing in IT cloud infrastructure, including analysis of cost reduction opportunities
- Security and Compliance
- Implement and manage cloud security best practices, including identity and access management, encryption, and network security.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards (e.g. CMMC, NIST, etc…)
- Conduct security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
- Collaboration and Support
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement cloud-based solutions that meet business needs.
- Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues and ensure redundancies.
- Continuous Improvement
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cloud technologies, trends, and best practices.
- Evaluate and recommend new tools and technologies to improve cloud operations and efficiency.
- Contribute to the development of cloud policies, procedures, and documentation.
To be successful in this role, you must meet the following criteria:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in cloud computing and IT infrastructure.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Experience with hybrid cloud environments.
- Strong knowledge of cloud architecture and services (compute, storage, networking, databases).
- Experience with cloud automation and orchestration tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation) a plus.
- Understanding of cloud security best practices and tools.
- Information and application security concepts including public key encryption, remote access, access credentials, and certificate-based authentication.
Certifications
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect) are highly desirable.

Hiring Salary Range: ($96,600 - $166,195) — The final agreed upon compensation is commensurate with experience relative to the position and/or primary work location.
