The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an entry-level CAD Technician/Designer for our Transportation-Infrastructure Practice in our Jacksonville, FL office.   

 

The CAD Technician/Designer will work with our engineering and environmental staff on a wide variety of projects.  The selected candidate will primarily assist the Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa, and South Florida Transportation Development Groups on transportation studies and final design projects that involve innovative designs.  This position is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience and a better understanding of the transportation industry.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with a variety of projects, including roadway, transit, engineering and environmental studies, and final design plan preparation.
  • Assist with concept development, cost estimating, exhibit preparation, and public meeting preparation.
  • Assist with report and plan preparation on various projects.
  • Assist with project research using GIS and other tools for various projects and pursuits.

 

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree from an accredited program
  • 0 GPA or above
  • AutoCAD and/or MicroStation experience
  • ArcPro GIS experience preferred
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to work with a team on varied and fast-paced deadlines
  • Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Ability to work year-round at Jacksonville office
  • Ability to travel to other offices, field visits, and public meetings is preferred
