The Opportunity

We are seeking a Field Engineer for our Transportation-Construction Management team in the Denver, CO area.

 

The Field Engineer will help manage the field inspection of roadway and bridge transportation projects, prepare and submit progress and final estimates, check engineering calculations, interpret contract documents, draft engineering solutions for contractors and owners, and oversee contractors to ensure projects are built within reasonable plan and specification conformity.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience with major road or bridge construction
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Colorado or the ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Must obtain any required certifications and pass appropriate qualifications tests for the position in specified time frames
  • Good verbal and written communication skills required
  • Valid Driver’s License with a good driving record
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to sit, stand, climb, bend, twist, or stoop frequently and for prolonged periods
  • Ability to reach horizontally as well as vertically for required tasks
  • Ability to use construction or inspection safety equipment including fall protection
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 - 3 years of hands-on experience with Highway Design and Work Zone Traffic Control Plans
  • Experience with Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build, CMGC, and other alternative contract delivery methods
  • OSHA 10 hour
