This position manages all Stock Administration processes for the Company. This includes overseeing, identifying, and driving improvements, establishing best-in-class processes for our stock program in accordance with compliance requirements, delivering outstanding employee support, and driving our expansion initiatives.
This is a highly visible role in the organization and on the Controllership Team, and plays an integral part in driving and executing on accounting and cross-functional strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversees the daily administration of the company’s stock incentive plan through coordination with our integrated equity plan administration platform and third-party plan administration provider.
- Updates and maintains the equity database and related interfaces to our third-party platform, ensuring preparation and processing of equity grants, exercises, new hires, terminations/cancellations, and audits. This includes supporting the external reporting and other management reporting functions.
- Facilitates our annual stock offering to all associates, manages grants and vesting of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), and ensures timely and accurate settlement payments to terminated employees per the stock plan.
- Reconciles equity-related general ledger accounts and prepares monthly accounting entries. Occasionally researches and assists with technical accounting decisions as they pertain to equity.
- Develops and delivers equity program training and reference materials. This includes assisting and/or participating in new hire orientations to respond to and resolve equity program questions.
- Participates in the periodic review, evaluation, RFP, selection and implementation of related technology tools to ensure best-in-class technology.
- Works closely with leaders across the firm to ensure successful achievement of team and firm-wide objectives. Fosters cross-collaboration and relationships in support of one RS&H and our culture of caring.
- Provides support for other departmental activities or special projects as needed, including tax and securities research and compliance. This also includes assisting with M&A/Divesture activities, including due diligence efforts.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree from an accredited program or equivalent experience.
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years relevant experience.
- Must demonstrate an advanced knowledge and background in stock administration as normally demonstrated through 8 or more years of experience in this area.
- Proven experience in business operations and internal control concepts; ability to assess and provide input into impact of a business process / system change.
- Proven extensive knowledge and experience in stock plan administration for private and/or public companies.
- Must possess strong project management skills and demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives across a breadth of stakeholders.
- Must also possess advanced organizational, prioritization, and oral and written communications skills.
- Must have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with others.
- Team player, flexible, and ability to resolve conflicts.
- Must demonstrate the willingness and know-how to delve into tactical details, as well as think strategically on a regular basis.
- Certified Equity Professional Highly Desired.
