The Opportunity

RS&H is currently seeking a senior-level talent acquisition (TA) specialist to join our team. Remote or hybrid work schedule available, must be near a major RS&H office. 

 

We are seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Architecture, Engineering, and Consulting (AEC) senior recruiter to join our internal Talent Acquisition team. This position will lead the full lifecycle recruitment process for strategic senior-level and high-impact positions across our AEC disciplines. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the AEC industry, exceptional sourcing, business acumen, and the ability to influence and partner with senior leaders to drive hiring outcomes that align with business goals. This individual will focus on recruiting efforts primarily within the Transportation, Aviation, and Federal Markets.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead key strategic searches for leadership and high-impact roles across the firm.
  • Utilize advanced sourcing techniques to identify and engage passive candidates, leveraging industry networks, social media, and other innovative methods.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of executive and officer-level AEC talent through proactive sourcing, networking, and relationship building.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert in leadership, strategic, and officer-level recruiting, providing insights and guidance to executive stakeholders throughout the hiring process.
  • Partner with firm leadership and internal partners to develop and execute recruitment strategies that align with the company's goals and objectives.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on recruitment activities, metrics, and outcomes to the CPO and other stakeholders.
  • Conduct comprehensive interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' qualifications, experience, and cultural fit.
  • Manage the offer process, including negotiation and onboarding, ensuring a seamless transition for new hires.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in executive recruitment, particularly within the AEC sector.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador for the firm, effectively communicating our purpose, vision, values, and culture.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive recruiting experience, with significant focus on strategic hires, executive, and officer-level roles in the AEC industry.
  • A strong understanding of the AEC industry and talent landscape, particularly in Transportation, Aviation, and Federal Markets.
  • Proven track record sourcing, engaging, and closing senior-level and strategic hires in competitive markets.
  • Business acumen and the ability to consult with and influence senior leadership.
  • Expertise in recruiting tools and technologies, including ATS (eg, iCIMS), LinkedIn Recruiter, and CRM platforms like ZoomInfo.
  • Experience managing internal recruiting processes, including working with confidential or succession-related searches.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport, trust, and lasting professional relationships both internally and externally.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working at an AEC firm
