RS&H is currently seeking a senior-level civil airfield engineering associate to join our team. This position will have the ability to work a hybrid schedule of in-office and remote. As part of the infrastructure team, you'll serve an integral role in the firm as a technical specialist who develops and applies advanced concepts and approaches to more challenging assignments. This position will develop solutions and create project designs and plans for all phases of projects; lead a variety of projects and direct and coordinate project teams; coordinate trades and agencies related to building design; perform field reviews and observations of ongoing construction projects; review and mentor junior staff's work and provide technical guidance to other professionals and technicians; and interact regularly with clients, vendors, and other key stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and coordination across the project. This position may also manage a small team of direct reports.

To be successful in this role, you must:

• Have a bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program and 10 years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Eligibility to sit for the PE is strongly preferred. 
• Be knowledgeable of applicable federal, state and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances.
• Be proficient in production software and construction document production.
• Have experience working on parts of a major project or multiple moderate-sized projects, leading and/or providing technical guidance to junior-level staff and reviewing others' work for technical accuracy and participating in the design and implementation of new services, processes, standards, and/or operational plans that had great impact on the achievement of functional results.
• Have proven ability to successfully address challenging or potentially controversial issues in a sound professional and business-like manner.
• Possess strong oral and written communication skills and have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders.
