The Opportunity

• Lead growth strategy across one of RS&H’s most important transportation markets, with a focus on NCDOT and SCDOT, local agencies, and other key strategic client expansion in the Carolinas.
• Serve as a visible market-facing leader who builds relationships, identifies future opportunities, strengthens pipeline, and helps position RS&H to win meaningful work.
• Work closely with operations, client managers, seller-doers, marketing, and business unit leaders to align growth strategy with pursuit readiness, client priorities, and long-term business objectives.
• Bring market intelligence, client insight, and a strong external network to help RS&H expand its presence, deepen relationships, and create future demand across the region.
• This role is ideal for a senior transportation business development leader who is energized by building markets, creating client strategies, developing pipelines, and partnering across teams to drive growth.
• Candidates should bring strong North and South Carolina transportation relationships, credibility with public-sector clients, a strategic sales mindset, and the ability to influence in a highly collaborative, matrixed environment.

What You’ll Bring

• 15+ years of experience in transportation infrastructure, construction management, AEC, professional services, consulting, or a related market-facing environment.
• A proven record of building client relationships, developing business strategies, supporting pursuits, growing the transportation market share, and cross-selling between markets
• Deep understanding of North and South Carolina transportation clients, funding priorities, competitive dynamics, and the relationships needed to position for future work.
• Strong communication, influence, collaboration, and business acumen with the ability to connect strategy, clients, pursuits, and delivery partners.

**Candidates must live in the either North or South Carolina with a preference to living in Charlotte.
