The Opportunity

RS&H is currently seeking a BIM Coordinator to support our Buildings business unit and advance high-quality, model-based project delivery.

This position will partner with architects, engineers, designers, project managers, and Digital Delivery leaders to implement BIM and digital delivery workflows across multidisciplinary building projects. The ideal candidate has strong technical proficiency in Revit and related Autodesk platforms, enjoys solving complex modeling and coordination challenges, and can guide project teams in the consistent application of BIM standards and best practices. The BIM Coordinator will play an important role in project setup, multidisciplinary coordination, model quality management, and the implementation of project-specific digital delivery requirements.

Job Summary

This position serves as a technical subject matter expert in digital design and engineering, independently performing complex modeling, coordination, and troubleshooting tasks using BIM, CADD, GIS, and related technologies. The BIM Coordinator oversees the implementation of processes and workflows used to develop project deliverables, supports project teams throughout the project lifecycle, integrates data from multiple sources into coordinated design models, and helps ensure that digital deliverables meet RS&H standards, project requirements, and client expectations. The position also provides technical guidance to project teams and junior staff, supports quality control activities, and contributes to the continued development of standardized digital delivery workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Produce and support high-quality digital design deliverables for complex building projects using Revit, AutoCAD, Forma, Navisworks, and related Autodesk technologies.
  • Plan and implement project-specific BIM and Digital Delivery workflows in alignment with RS&H standards, client requirements, and BIM Execution Plans.
  • Support project startup by establishing model configurations, coordinates, templates, file structures, worksharing protocols, and Common Data Environment requirements.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary building models across architecture, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and other disciplines to mitigate conflicts and maintain model integrity.
  • Lead federated model reviews and clash-detection activities in Navisworks and related platforms, including documenting, assigning, tracking, and supporting resolution of coordination issues.
  • Perform quality control reviews to confirm digital deliverables meet technical milestones, applicable codes, project standards, and client requirements.
  • Process and integrate survey information, point clouds, imagery, drone-captured data, GIS information, and other source data into coordinated building design models.
  • Investigate and troubleshoot complex Revit, AutoCAD, Forma, Navisworks, interoperability, model management, reference, and Common Data Environment issues.
  • Evaluate and recommend innovative design solutions, emerging technologies, automation, and visualization tools that improve project quality, efficiency, and delivery outcomes.
  • Provide technical direction, mentoring, training, and day-to-day guidance to project teams and junior staff on BIM standards, modeling practices, coordination, and Autodesk workflows.
  • Support model development, milestone reviews, and deliverable production throughout the project lifecycle to promote complete, coordinated, and consistent submissions.
  • Capture project lessons learned and contribute to standardized templates, content libraries, workflows, training resources, and best practices that reduce rework and advance continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited program with a focus in architecture, engineering, construction management, GIS, information systems, or another related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of four years experience working in digital design and Digital Delivery methods, supporting model-based delivery on complex, multi-discipline projects.
  • Demonstrated experience using Revit to support the development and coordination of building design and construction-document models.
  • Experience performing BIM coordination, model reviews, or clash-detection activities.
  • Working knowledge of Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, or another Common Data Environment.
  • Strong understanding of BIM standards, file management, model organization, and quality control practices.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical modeling and coordination issues and communicate solutions clearly to project teams.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with architects, engineers, project managers, clients, consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and shifting priorities while maintaining attention to detail and quality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional certifications and Digital Delivery credentials (e.g. CM-BIM).
  • Experience delivering model-based deliverables on multi-discipline projects to client standards.
