This position competently performs all conventional aspects of design and development, including the planning and conducting of work requiring more advanced techniques. This position is responsible for specific technical design aspects of an assigned major project, including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions that best meets the client's needs   Essential Functions: - Carries out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures, independently applying advanced design concepts. - Participates on major project or several projects of moderate scope with complex features. Participates in the conceptual design and provides full support through the entire project. Liaises with project managers, architects, and consultants. May serve as the team expert. - Provides professional interior design consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of large complex projects. - Meets with clients to determine objectives and requirements for the design. Prepares interior finish material and furniture, fixture, and equipment specifications, scaled drawings and proposals. - Owns finished plans, specifications, and approval of materials and construction. May review and approve scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments. - Reviews junior staff's work for technical accuracy and provides technical guidance to other professionals and technicians.
