We are currently seeking an BIM Associate to join our Federal Market in Norfolk, VA!  Job Summary: RS&H is looking for Building Information Modeling (BIM) production staff for our growing Federal Market clients. RS&H is fortunate to have a wealth of project opportunities through our multiple long-term consulting contracts for the military and NASA. Our projects range from small renovations for military clients to large buildings for federal clients and include both national and international projects in locations such as Japan, Europe and the Middle East. This position is intended to support our architecture and engineering design teams in all areas of BIM production. While federal and military experience is a plus, we are focused on your ability to perform in our collaborative team environment. Essential Functions: - Implement new technologies enabling the Practice to maintain a competitive edge in our market - BIM Production will require the management and development of modeling libraries as well as supporting the BIM training across the Practice - This associate will collaborate on all projects requiring BIM, occasionally serving as the BIM Production leader for Buildings and Infrastructure design projects - Provide interdisciplinary coordination for design and construction projects using collaboration and clash detection software - Evaluate, select, and adapt standard techniques, procedures, and criteria as required by our client delivery standards - Acquire general knowledge of design principles and practices of related fields and exhibits ability to function on multi-disciplinary teams - Work on multiple projects of moderate size or portions of major projects - Exhibit consistent professional performance in meeting scope, schedule, and budget commitments Minimum Qualifications: - High School diploma - 5 years experience with 3+ years of in-depth CADD/Revit production experience at A/E buildings firm - Experience in multi-discipline BIM content development - Proficient in Autodesk programs (AutoCAD, Revit, NavisWorks, Glue, etc.) and industry standards for the implementation of construction documentation - Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills - Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments and tasks, set priorities, and adapt to changing conditions and work assignments - Ability to take on additional responsibilities as necessary - Experience with GIS, Cobie, VR, Dynamo and programming a plus - US Citizen or National per client requirement #LI-SP1

Working in the office, you will help your team by editing specs, researching products, developing notes and details on drawings, creating documentation for graphics, and other basic tasks. RS&H is currently seeking an Interior Designer II in mulitple office locations including Jacksonville, Norfolk, and San Antonio. This position competently performs all conventional aspects of design and development, including the planning and conducting of work requiring more advanced techniques. This position is responsible for specific technical design aspects of an assigned major project, including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions that best meets the client's needs   Essential Functions: - Carries out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures, independently applying advanced design concepts. - Participates on major project or several projects of moderate scope with complex features. Participates in the conceptual design and provides full support through the entire project. Liaises with project managers, architects, and consultants. May serve as the team expert. - Provides professional interior design consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of large complex projects. - Meets with clients to determine objectives and requirements for the design. Prepares interior finish material and furniture, fixture, and equipment specifications, scaled drawings and proposals. - Owns finished plans, specifications, and approval of materials and construction. May review and approve scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments. - Reviews junior staff's work for technical accuracy and provides technical guidance to other professionals and technicians. May also lead a discipline team or small multidisciplinary teams to complete projects - Performs quality control reviews and ensure achievement of key milestones. Performs field observations of ongoing construction projects to ensure projects adhere to interior architectural plans. - Maintains professional registration and licensure by ensuring conformance with professional, ethical, educational, and discipline practice requirements. Remains knowledgeable of state and local building codes, life safety codes, and other ordinances. - May supervise direct reports, including hiring, coaching, performance reviews, development conversations, and productivity management. - Performs all other duties as assigned and within scope of practice.   Minimum Qualifications: - Requires a degree in interior design or architecture and applicable minimum experience as required by NCIDQ or the applicable jurisdiction. - Requires a minimum of 7 years relevant experience. This experience includes working on parts of a major project or multiple moderate-sized projects and proven experience providing technical guidance to entry/junior-level staff and reviewing others' work for technical accuracy. - NCIDQ certification and/or state registration as applicable. - Proficient in production software and construction document production. - Must possess strong oral and written communications skills. - Must have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, and other key stakeholders.
