We are seeking experienced CEI Inspectors with experience in structure inspection. Experience should reflect work on major highway structures (including concrete and steel bridges) along with retaining wall inspection experience (MSE walls, Soil Nail walls, Drilled Shaft walls) for our Transportation-Construction Management (T-CM) team in the Austin, TX area. As a Senior CEI Inspector, you will monitor the contractor’s on-site construction activities and inspect materials to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and other contract documents. The candidate will be working under the Project Manager on an Express Bridge Project in Houston. Responsibilities include investigation and review of field conflicts, reviewing and responding to RFI’s, developing traffic control plan revisions, reviewing and developing change orders, reviewing construction schedule submittals and client coordination. The Field Engineer will prepare and submit progress and final estimates, check engineering calculations, interpret contract documents, ensuring contractor compliance with plans, specifications and contract documents and assist in the organization and assignments of inspection staff members.
